City Girl...... still in the country

Dear Coley,
I love the synopsis of our friendship (especially the things you decided to leave out.... thank you. I am sure all the trips to krispy kreme, near death experiences, and closet hiding will come out in due time).  It is funny that I, the "City Girl", am currently living with my parents (on a farm) and waking up to the sounds of cows every day (or should I more specifically say, every morning at the ripe time of 6:45am).  My big move to the city is still a week away, and even though I am loving the time spent with my family, the cows may just give me the extra kick in the butt I need to head north.
Tomorrow I take one more step closer to city life..... I am officially purchasing..... itty bitty furniture!! If you did not already know, my new apartment in the big city is all of 200 sqft (I am not exaggerating).  Yes, evidently moving up in the world, really means moving into a shoebox (little depressing, yet all my budget can afford). I am taking the move as a sign that I need new furniture (the fact that my current furniture is too big to fit in the door may have something to do with the decision) and spending a small fortune on my new digs.  In other words, Ikea, here I come! I have stalked this furniture for some time now, so I am super excited. This is what happens when you get old...... you love buying furniture. So with Mom in tow and my Dad's farm truck (yes, dear Lord) we are headed to Charlotte! Remember when Charlotte was the "big city" to us...... in moments like this I wonder, what have I gotten myself into?
Speaking of... what have you gotten yourself into? Spiders? I cannot wait to hear the stories.

Sincerely,
Court
(ha, sorry for the sincerely, I forgot you weren't one of the 17 financial aid/insurance/registrars I have been corresponding with lately)
